How does water temperature give you some clues on how to fish your streamer patterns?

- [Tom] In general, if the water temperature is below 50 degrees you want to slow down your strips and use frequent pauses. As the water warms and trout are more likely to chase your fly a long distance you can speed up your retrieve. I've had trout in 60 degree water chase my fly over 50 feet right to my feet. There's our fish.
