Should You Fish a Streamer Upstream or Downstream? (50 of 51)
Video Transcript:
Tom: I really like fishing from the back of the boat a lot. And the reason is that I like my streamer coming downstream. Fish are facing upstream, right? A lot of people say predator fish don't like their prey coming at them. So you should fish broadside to them or have it going upstream. But the thing is, when a baitfish [00:00:30.339] or a crayfish gets dislodged, the only way they can escape is to go downstream. They can't swim against the current. So I believe that it seems a lot more realistic to have your streamer darting downstream than upstream. In fact, sometimes along a bank, I will mend downstream so that I can keep my streamer moving downstream parallel to the bank.[00:01:00.630] [00:01:30.437]
