Should you fish your streamers upstream or downstream? Most people fish them slightly downstream, but Tom Rosenbauer goes against conventional wisdom and prefers to cast his streamers upstream. Learn why he thinks this is a more natural presentation.

Tom: I really like fishing from the back of the boat a lot. And the reason is that I like my streamer coming downstream. Fish are facing upstream, right? A lot of people say predator fish don't like their prey coming at them. So you should fish broadside to them or have it going upstream. But the thing is, when a baitfish [00:00:30.339] or a crayfish gets dislodged, the only way they can escape is to go downstream. They can't swim against the current. So I believe that it seems a lot more realistic to have your streamer darting downstream than upstream.
