Tying a dropper to the bend of a hook might not always be the best way of attaching a dropper. Sometimes you want the second fly free on its own piece of tippet (which also results in fewer foul-hooked fish). Sometimes you want to tie your dropper to the eye of the first fly (especially when the first fly has a barbless hook). But the quickest and easiest way to attach a dropper is to the bend of the hook of your first fly. Here are two methods to do it—pick the one that works best for you!
