Although we don’t recommend fishing for bass when they are on their spawning beds, there are great opportunities just after they finish spawning.

As water temperatures warm and bass complete their spawning, they are exceptionally aggressive and hungry. This is the time to begin trying surface flies like hair bugs. Often, this is the best bass fishing of the year. What? Did you see that? If you're not catching bass at this time of year, you need to move because they're going to be feeding somewhere.
